Appears to be coming from DOS or Windows. The only time I've seen this sort of thing happen before was on a PC running X-Windows. The problem was caused by the TCP/IP stack on the PC (it was Beame & Whiteside TCP/IP). Anyway, in a TCP/IP stack there is usually a buffer for incoming and outgoing TCP/IP commands. During an X-Windows startup (or in your case, startiung I-net) this buffer overflows and gets Windows/Dos a bit worried. Windows/Dos throws up this meaningless message "Cannot write to port AUX:" which basically means "help - something has overflowed its buffer). The cure should be to increase the size of the buffer that the TCP/IP stack is using. The battle is - which TCP/IP is in use and how to change the buffer size? In Beame & Whiteside you use BWCUSTOM. In LanWorkplace I think net.cfg is the place to look. On others... -- Mark Bradshaw (not) not@hoople.demon.co.uk
