Help : I'm having problems initializing shared memory when I try to start the engine(Online 5.0,unix 3.2 ) . When I run tbinit it gives me an error initializing shared memory . The log has the following message : 10:32:46 INFORMIX-OnLine Initialized -- Shared MemoryInitialized 10:32:46 Physical Recovery Started 10:32:46 Checkpoint Completed 10:32:46 Physical Recovery Complete: 0 Pages Restored 10:32:46 Transaction Not Found 10:32:46 Log Record: log = 45170, pos = 13018, type = 51, trans = 27 10:32:46 Cannot Rollforward from Checkpoint 10:32:46 INFORMIX-OnLine Stopped Is there a way to delete this transaction from the log ? The process wasn't in a critical point so I am willing to live with data loss , as long as I can get the system running . I was going to do a restore but it didn't show me all the chunks that I was using , it showed only four of 8 , Is this normal ? I have never done a restore so I don't feel comfortable doing it .
