Report Writing on Linux...

What is the best way to generate generic database reports using Informix
9.2 under Linux given the following:
I cannot use Perl.
I cannot use NT.
For the life of me, I haven't found a quick and simple solution that
should exist. All I want to do is select some data and just do some
simple formatting. All Informix has to do is add a few simple commands
to dbaccess.
Does 4GL work on Linux? Are there any 3rd party reporting tools that I
can use? Dbaccess is way too limited...I guess I'll have to write
an ugly unix script.

Before you buy.
Hi!
You can get ISQL which has forms and report writer or full 4GL package
which might be an overkill for what you want to do.
