Hi, I am trying to connect to my Informix SE server running on RedHat Linux 5.2 using ODBC on Windows NT. Whenever I attempt to connect I get an error on the server stating 'Incorrect user dba@my windows NT hostname.my windows NT hostname is not known on the database server'. What am I doing wrong? I even tried adding my linux hostname to the user name and same problem. This is driving me nuts! Help!!! Dave Brown
Ok, I got that working. Can someone tell me why it's taking over a minute to connect to the database using ODBC. Thanks! I can think of two things. 1. I've seen this, right on my PC. I'm using CLI, it seems some version may/will mix up on NT and cause this to happen. Same version install on win95 has very fast response. 2. I've then used ODBC from openlink, it IS very fast on my very same NT box. Chris
