Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Yes, nice article.
Mentions IDS, but Spang focuses on DB2.
Hint to Jerry K. : Its not the sales numbers, but that we don't have a lot of "wins" to talk about. Informix/IDS is still the industry's dirty little secret. Its growing in spite of Spang. 8^P
I walked in to a friend's company. Microsoft shop. Of course they're running their Lawson on Oracle. (*shock*)
When talking about databases, I mentioned one of the *few* publicly talked about IDS wins. You know where they could run all their db needs on IDS just for the cost of the energy for all the SQL servers... ;-) But beyond that, what can I say?
Looking on the bright side... (and yes there is a bright side...) Spang didn't insert his foot in his mouth.
Maybe that electric shock dog collar really did the job?
