cannot modify volume block size for ISM

hello all, does anyone know how to change the volume block size for ISM? I tried to change it with the following commands : nsradmin> print NSR device nsradmin> update volume block size: 1024 KB nsradmin> quit in the nsr.res config file I see that the size was updated but when I try to backup the database onbar -b -w I see with ism_watch that it is still used the default value 32K. How can I force ISM to use a different volume block size?

I forgot to mention that I'm using IDS version 10FC5 on RedHat Linux server x86_64
