Enterpreise Replication (consolidation)

Hello, i want to set up an ER Environment to consolidate a Database (Many-To-One). I set up a Root Server, with two Leaf Servers. (g_root, g_server1, g_server2). Now we need to consolidate the table customer from server g_server1 and g_server2 into the table customer from g_root. Is it possible to set up ONE Replicate with all three Servers? - g_root read-only - g_server1 primary - g_server2 primary Ive set up a replicate, but stumbled across a strange problem. If i modify a row on g_server1, it is replicated to g_root AND! g_server2. Same for a modified row on g_server2, it is replicated to g_root ADN! g_server1 The only solution ive found so far is to create TWO replicates customer1: - g_root read_only - g_server primary customer2: - g_root ready_only - g_server primary That is unfortunate, because we have over 200 Database Servers that needs to be Replicated with a whole bunch of tables, so we need to create a seperate Replicate per server, per table?.
Hi I think you must be mistaken on your ER architecture. If you need to consolidade two nodes on one node, I think you must change your configurations. Read the official docs, they are well self-paced. The ER architecture is very complex, and can do everything you need, you just have to understand its types. (I think you must use one leaf server - the target node, and two root nodes - or even non-root nodes, had you tryed it)???? http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/idshelp/v117/topic/com.ibm.erep.doc/ids _erp_469.htm Hope it helps. Hi, i dont think i get it wrong. The Replicates define the "direction" of replicated Data. The root/leaf nodes just define, which catalogue information (syscdr) is spread among your ER-Domain. A root server can be a Primary OR a Read-Only, or BOTH at the same time. (if such a replicate is existant)
