You need to provide more information. Why do you need something better? How many concurrent users? How large is the db going to be? How many updates, deletes, selects? What type of user interface do you need/want? Do you have any platform restrictions? Do you have any monetary restrictions? Is there an existing database (or other type of system) already in place that this is going to replace? If you're working in complete microsoft environment I would advise MS SQL Server, because its performance skyrockets in a complete microsoft environment (IIS, pws, Windows 2000, NT, .Net) if you're not working with microsoft I would advise MySql & Oracle 9i,MySql works very good with java, jsp, and other platforms and it's free. Oracle 9i is also very good but a bit expensive Toedels akmad@hotmail.com (akmad) wrote in message news:<5e7713bd.0306041024.4b518f43@posting.google.com>... > You need to provide more information. > Why do you need something better? > How many concurrent users? > How large is the db going to be? > How many updates, deletes, selects? > What type of user interface do you need/want? > Do you have any platform restrictions? > Do you have any monetary restrictions? > Is there an existing database (or other type of system) already in > place that this is going to replace? > > Akmad > > PupppyWizzard@glay.org (Pupppy Wizzard) wrote in message news:<8dcf2300.0306040241.2de0e55b@posting.google.com>... > > Hi.
