RE: informix installation

That error is always caused by not setting INFORMIXDIR correctly. Before you run the install script you must set INFORMIXDIR and PATH. You can get error 32766 at other times and again it always means that INFORMIXDIR is not set correctly. If you think you have set it correctly logout and login again and then set it again paying particular attention to spelling. I know of many an informix specialist who has told me they have set INFORMIXDIR correctly and still got this error but when they logout and login again then set INFORMIXDIR it works. If you are insatlling on windoze you shouldn't get this message as the install wizard sets this for you.
