Does anyone wkon of a white paper, or free Internet guide, to tuning Informix? Either an overview or a detailed guide of things to consider? I am far more familiar with Oracle and Rdb, and want to find out about the similarities/differences involved.

See Art Kagel's article in Informix's "Tech Notes" Vol 8, Issue 3, 1998. It is the most concise document I have seen on tuning Informix. This may be available online from informix. Regards Gary Child
