onload error

i am attempting to load a database on one solaris box from a tape drive on a different solaris box. the syntax i am using is: onload -t server:/dev/rmt/0 -d dbspace database server, device, dbspace and database are all valid. i am getting the error message: Error reading from tape device, Error No. = 2. i know i have used this command with success on a different machine, so i am not sure what would cause this problem. any suggestions? i.d.s.: 7.31 o/s: solaris 7 thanks for the help. ty -- Ty O'Kelly DBA tokelly@maxor.com 806-324-5521
