You're not saying what client application or API you're using. The only method that'll work universally (as far as I know) is to use the LOTOFILE function to write the CLOB contents into a file. If that doesn't fit your idea of "get the contents" then you're going to have to explain what you are trying to accomplish and what client application/API you're using. -Carsten
