stopping ifxclone

Hi, We are running Informix 11.70.FC7. We started ifxclone to re-setup an RSS server, though we had to stop the RSS server in the middle of the clone. We used onmode -ky to stop the RSS server. However when we try to restart ifxclone again, we get the following error message on the Primary server and the RSS instance just AF's and crashes right away. All oninit processes on the RSS server are completely stopped. Any suggestions on how to clear this issue so we can restart ifxclone?
