Performance problems with INFORMIX-SE 7.10.UD1

Hi informixers! Recently, I upgraded my INFORMIX-SE database server from 4.10 to 7.10.UD1. The applications was developed under Fourgen/INFORMIX-4GL RDS 4.10.UD3. The database migration was made using DBEXPORT/DBIMPORT utilities. Accesing the database thru DBACCESS the performance looks similar than previous one, but when accessing thru the application is poor. I didn't change the tools, then I didn't compile the programs either. May this affect? The situation looks worse when I try to view a table schema thru DBSCHEMA utility. It takes a lot of time, but really a lot!!!!! that's unbelieveble!! I already ran an UPDATE STATISTICS, and the SQLEXEC environment variable is set to $INFORMIXDIR/lib/sqlrm what's going on here? Anyone has a similar experience? May I have to run a process in my database for improve performance?
