Informix Users Help Ethiopia Famine

This is a good time to break protocol and ask all you out there to do something (anything) about the famine in Ethiopia. As is clear as crystal for anyone who watches the disheartening news on television - many many people including young children are dying of starvation while "our belly's" are full. This dichotomy is unbearable for anyone with even the smallest conscience. Many of us working with Informix work for the largest organizations and are in positions of some influence. It is time to lobby our governments to collectively not do just something, but just enough to stop the suffering. For those of you who would suggest giving through aid organizations it is important to mention that this frees "our governments" and the "responsibility of the collective" of responsibility - and puts the burden on the shoulders of a few which is unacceptable. So again, even if it means sending a few e-mails or writing to your favorite newsgroup, or even throwing a paper ball out of the window please do something or however insignificant. Moses
