I have a question for you ODBC/Openlink gurus out there. My computing environment is as follows: 2 Alpha OSF1/Unix server each running Informix 5 Multiple OSF1/Unix clients Multiple PC/Windows Clients TCP/IP For my clients to access both servers, do I require the purchase of 2 Openlink Request Brokers, or just one. I am not clear about the server side requirements from the Openlink Whitepaper or the User's Guide & Reference Manual. I have two configurations in mind and need help in clarification to which is valid: a) Need 2 Openlink Req. Brokers and 2 database agents, 1 for each of the 2 Alpha/OSF1/Informix5 database servers. b) Need 1 Openlink Req. Broker and 2 database agents. The Broker runs on the one primary database server. Each of the two servers has database agents on them. The rulebook is configured (by setting mapping rules) to find the other (secondary) database server (over the network) and activate its own database agent. Is option b) a feasible option? Appreciate any help. "The journey is the reward" Steve Jobs ============================================================================= Arif Z.
