Re: DBLOAD changes numbers!

I believe the problem has to do with the data structure. You can't actually store the number .03 as a binary number (float is stored as binary) you can only store an approximation. You need to change your data type to decimal. This happens with a lot of numbers with a decimal component. EG: .5 is 0.1 in binary .25 is 0.01 in binary Try and make .3 and you get .0111 (.025 + .0025 + .00025) or something like it. I think the above example is correct it has been a while since I have done and binary calculations. Load in delimited rows with a number such as .03. It loads as .02999999999. Why in the WORLD would it do this? Makes my calculations come out absurd and my tables in screens have to be much wider. I really only need precision of 3 or so. Thoughts?
