All, Has anyone ever experienced this?: Trying to connect from a client PC to Informix-SE (v.5) running on SCO (v.5.0.5), entering the correct name and password, I get the following error: [INTERSOLV][ODBC Informix driver][Informix]Attempt to connect to database server (servername) failed. [INTERSOLV][ODBC Informix driver][Informix]Connection refused I have double-checked that my database name was correct on the client ODBC Administrator and Informix server; my host name is correct in the clinet ODBC Administrator, client SetNet (v.7.2), and server sqlhosts file, and they match the real name of the host; my Informix server name is correct in the client ODBC Administrator, client SetNet, and server sqlhosts file, and they are all using the same protocol type (sesoctcp); and my service name matches in the client ODBC Administrator, client SetNet, client Services file, server sqlhosts file, and server /etc/services file. Since this is not On-Line, there is appearantly no onconfig file to check, so I think all of the above should take care of it. Is there something that I'm missing? Is there some sort of versioning issue here? Has anybody seen and solved this problem in the past? Thanks very much for your insights. Sorry for the extraneous post. It appeared as though Deja News hadn't received my original post. They "logged me out", and then my message hadn't appeared for an abnormally long period of time. Thanks for your understanding. Kind regards, --John Bejarano.
