Is ESQL/C++ maintained anymore, or is it deprecated in favor of ESQL/C? I've written a module for use with OpenOffice, however it is not linking properly. Here is what I do to compile the program and the error I get: g++ -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -I/opt/IBM/informix/incl/c++/ -I/opt/IBM/informix/incl/esql/ -I/opt/IBM/informix/incl/public/ -DIT_COMPILER_HAS_BOOL /opt/IBM/informix/lib/esql/checkapi.o -L$INFORMIXDIR/lib/esql -L$INFORMIXDIR/lib -lifsql -lifasf -lifgen -lifos -lifgls -lifglx -lm -ldl -lcrypt -lnsl -L$INFORMIXDIR/lib/c++ -lifc++ -L$INFORMIXDIR/lib/dmi -lifdmi pipe.cpp /usr/bin/ld: warning: libstdc++.so.5, needed by /opt/IBM/informix/lib/c++/libifc++.so, may conflict with libstdc++.so.6 I think that my problems are due to the fact that the C++ interface is linking against an old library, whereas OpenOffice links against the newer library. Is there an updated version of the ESQL C++ library? Thanks. Dragan
Hard to answer if we don't know what version you have! Generally, the C++ interface included in the CSDK is fully supported. The latest version is 3.50 of the CSDK, don't know what the underlying CPP Interface version in there is. I periodically test it and hack at it. Please send me platform and version information... If you need it, you can contact IBM Tech Support to obtain the source for libifc++ so that you can recompile it with the current C++ compiler. After installing latest CSDK 3.50.UC1 everything compiles fine. Thank you all for your responses Dragan
