B.G.: Your problem is not with the tbconfig file but rather with your UNIX kernel parameters. There are three UNIX parameters that you may need to configure: Max # of semaphore identifiers (SEMMNI) Max # of semaphores (SEMMNS) and Max # of semaphores per identifier( SEMMSL). The parameters name (SEMMNI,SEMMNS,SEMMSL) may be different on your platform. The idea is that you have to set those parameters at the Unix System level to what is recommended or required by Informix Online (Chapter 15 of the Informix On-line Dynamic Server Administrator Guide Version 6.0 Volume 1) and you have to reboot your system before the new parameters be effective. Sorry for not being able to tell you exactly where to set those parameters as I am not too familiar with the HP platform. ---- Regards, Francis Chue American TriTech Internet: fsc0@tritech.com 10717 Sorrento Valley Road Voice : (619)453-7000 ext. 283 San Diego, CA 92121 Fax : (619)453-8709
