David: This has actually been resolved. The latest releases of C4GL, R4GL, and ISQL were finally recompiled with CSDK v4.10. IB that was release 7.51.xxx. In direct answer to your question, IBM is actually hoping that everyone will port to FourJs Genero or Querix Lycia (obviously banking on Genero since they are reselling it) so they can finally drop 4GL and eliminate the support costs and they won't have to port to new OS versions. I can confirm that yes, I needed this version 7.51 of the 4GL to get it working with IDS 12.1. Thanks Art for the solution.
