Bj Firstly look at 'cdr define server'. It has a '-i minutes' option to define an idle time time-out. The first transaction then re-establishes connection. This could give you some immediate savings if your data is only changed between 08:00 and 17:00 or is sporadic. Second 'cdr define repl' has an option '-a time' which sends transactions at a particular time each day, or option '-e interval' which sends transactions every 'interval' minutes. As I said earlier, you need to ensure you have plenty of log space in order that you do not end up freezing one side of the replicants because responses have not been received.
