It can be run at any time with the caviat that already prepared statements
MAY get a -710 error when they are executed (or associated cursors opened).
If you have long running apps or app/query servers using prepared statements
you either have to make them reprepare when they get -710 or restart them
in case. Other than that and normal resource conflicts due to large sorts
(which you can minimize by using PSORT_DBTEMP to keep the sort-work files
away from the database disks) no effect.

A few days ago, I got Informix-Error -750 in our ERP-System-Task when
doing an "update statistic".
This occured in an dynamic prepared Query (ESQL/C doing prepare,
describe, declare, open, fetch, close, free).
