Multiple database opens with informix 5.0
We are running informix 5.0 in an HP-UX
environment. We currently have 2 databases
running in the engine a production database called
'prod' and a test database called 'test'.
These 2 databases are exact duplicates of each
other. Is there a way to extract the data from
<table-a> in the prod database and automatically
update <table-a> in the test database, without
doing a dbunload and then dbload.
i.e. Can both databases be open and the
information extracted from 'prod' and placed into
'test' with a single sql statement?
