We are trying to automate the backup / restore process. First we backup
the production system to files, move them and restore them to the backup
system. We try onarchive but we have to abort it since it is taking too
long. Does anyone know how we can tune onarchive to make it run
faster? Or should we use onbar or ontape instead to perform this task?
Thanks,
Tony

If you want to use a product with a crap interface, where you have to define
every variable at least twice, and in two different places, wish to receive
unintelligible error messages at unpredictable times, and have the
excitement of not knowing at restore time whether or not your restore will
actually hang together, then onarchive is your product.
Otherwise use ontape/onbar.
