Must SDK be installed??

Hi all! I have tried to run few applications that access informix 7.2 and 7.3. They all fail on -461 while trying to access a file csqli.iem (sometimes other .iem files). When I install the ESQLC (SDK) the problem disappears. Is it indeed neccessary to install the ESQLC ?? Isn't that initially wrong to force users install the SDK?? These are provided by many different Informix products, including Client SDK and Connect. I expect that your programs would probably work with I-Connect installed. If you expect your programs to work with nothing installed on the machine except the binaries, think again. You need INFORMIXDIR and the sqlhosts file and the messages and the GLS locales. -- Yours, Jonathan Leffler (Jonathan.Leffler@Informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h> Guardian of DBD::Informix v1.00.PC1 -- http://www.perl.com/CPAN "I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it!"
