Reverting Informix Database version

Hi, I have one query . If I migrate from IDS 11.50.FC3W1 to IDS 11.50.FC5 for testing. How can I revert my IDS version 11.50.FC5 to 11.50.FC3W1 . Please help.

Hi Shrikanth, It depends. 1.If you enabled compression and used compression then do: onmode -b 11.50.xc3If you have any compressed tables left, then it will give error out indicating the partitions that are compressed. You will then need to uncompress all those partitions.Once that is done, you rerun: onmode -b 11.50.xc3 After it completes,install 11.50.FC3W1 , switch your INFORMIXDIR to point to the sqldist of 11.50.FC3W1 Then run oninit 2.If you didn't enable compression on 11.50.FC5 do onmode -ky on 11.50.FC5 Install 11.50.FC3W1 , switch your INFORMIXDIR to point to the sqldist of 11.50.FC3W1 Then run oninit Thanks, Kamini "SHRIKANT SABLE" <shrikant.sable@hed.ltindia.com> Sent by: ids-bounces@iiug.org 01/07/2010 10:03 PM Please respond to ids@iiug.org To ids@iiug.org cc Subject Reverting Informix Database version [18627] Hi, I have one query .
