Platform : Win2000 / IDS 9.30.TC3 I get the following error when increasing the buffers. shmat [ENOMEM] [12]: out of available data space, check system MAXMEM shmdt: errno 22 mt_shm_init : can't create virtual segment. The server has 2 Gig of physical memory of which approx. 900 MB is being used by Informix is being used and there is approx. 900 MB still available. I am trying to set the buffer parameter from 100000 to 130000. Anyone have any ideas as to what could be happening? Regards Steven

I do not know if that is configurable. In UNIX it would involve changing the kernel configuration parameter and usually (except on Linux) building a new kernel with the more generous setting and booting it (Linux will let you change that on the fly). Check with your local WinXXXX guru. Art S.
