Hi all, Regarding using soft links for dbspaces, I understood how I do it for a dbspace, make a soft link in $INFORMIXDIR/storage/chunks to the dbspace on the storage and then add the dbspace using the soft link as the path. But do I do it for the rootdbs ? since it is created at the rootpath during initialization ? Searched the internet and found nothing Thannk you
I always want all of my devices in the same dir (just easier to keep track of). Thus the links to the actual devices. This includes root as well but you really needed to think about that before you initialize the instance for the 1st time.
