Hi all, I'm developing a rather simple application to parse raw data files and insert them into a given database. Unfortunately I'm experiencing (from what I can tell) random SQLExceptions. Below is a stacktrace() of what I'm running into (it usually occurs after a few megabytes have been inserted, but sometimes sooner): java.sql.SQLException: System or internal error at com.informix.util.IfxErrMsg.getSQLException(IfxErrMsg.java:308) at com.informix.jdbc.IfxSqli.receiveMessage(IfxSqli.java:2008) at com.informix.jdbc.IfxSqli.executeExecute(IfxSqli.java:1897) at com.informix.jdbc.IfxSqli.executeExecute(IfxSqli.java:1872) at com.informix.jdbc.IfxResultSet.executeExecute(IfxResultSet.java:336) at com.informix.jdbc.IfxStatement.executeImpl(IfxStatement.java:761) at com.informix.jdbc.IfxStatement.execute(IfxStatement.java:511) at Depp2DB.insertFrame(Depp2DB.java:284) at Depp2DB.main(Depp2DB.java:317) My setup is Red Hat Linux 6.0 (with glibc2.1.2), Blackdown JDK-2.1.2, Informix JDBC driver 2.11 on a dual Pentium II Dell PowerEdge server. Informix Dynamic Server Version 7.30.UC7. I have also experienced this problem with JDK 1.1.18 and Informix JDBC driver 1.50. Any help would be much appreciated. If I'm leaving out any information that would be helpful, please let me know. If nothing else, could someone perhaps point me to the correct contact at Informix to discuss this? Thanks! -Len Marinis lmarinis@grc.nasa.gov
Did you get a response for this problem? It sounds like a bug, the client shouldn't be getting an internal error, that's something the driver should catch. I suggest you contact our Tech Support so you can log a bug. Mary.
