POSITION: Quality Assurance (DB Software) Tester (Herndon, VA) CSA Job Number HC-96-601 BACKGROUND: The Company designs, develops and implements high-performance Optical Character Recognition (OCR) imaging software and systems for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The System Software group is responsible for software products include operating systems, utilities, networking and communications products. The system is an Imaging systems that recognizes pertinent information from US Income Tax returns and stores the information in the INFORMIX Database. The Group has requirements for several full time permanent Quality Assurance (software) Testers. REQUIREMENTS (Candidate should have most of the following): ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- * 2+ years experience programming in a UNIX environment * Previous experience developing tests in accordance with DoD Std 2167A or other standard for developing software test procedure). * INFORMIX (or strong Database experience) * SQL * Requirements analysis * Hands on test experience * Group leadership / management experience and interest * US. citizen or permanent resident. * Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related discipline The candidates must also be willing to: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Be a self starter and show initiative. * Travel for 1 or 2 week periods (longer if interested) several times per year Location: Chantilly, VA Compensation: Excellent compensation and benefits, Depending on Experience All inquiries are confidential.
