On 2 Feb 96 at 9:08, Carl Wilson's mailer burped out: > To all that really care, > > After you read this then make for the nearest retailier of BS repellent. [picky .sig deleted] > It doesn't stand to reason, if you stand on the sidewalk of any big city and > scream your thoughts to the world, whats to copyright? So I say if you don't > want people to use your posting anyway they want, then don't post it in the > first place. I say also USE IT, ABUSE IT, BROIL IT, STEAM IT, BAKE IT, > !!!!! FLAME IT !!!!. I care. Carl, I think that what this person is trying to prevent with this .sig goes against what the net is *supposed* to be about (that is, before it got really commercialized and hyped of late), which is the FREE expression and dispersal of information. Or*cle taking statements from a mailing list and publishing them to portray Informix in a bad light borders on heresy. Disclaimer: I use Sybase, Informix, Oracle, and Watcom occasionally on my job, and I think they ALL could use some work in one area or another. BTW, just because something is public access does not mean copyrighting it is unheard of. Heard of the NFL? IMNSHO. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Sean LeBlanc -------------------> leblancs@tsagate.com Technical Services Associates, Inc. -> www.tsagate.com #include <smiley.h> #define STD_DISCLAIMER WORDS_R_MY_OWN Flameage & Commercialism > /dev/null "My moral standing is lying down." -Trent Reznor +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
