archecker is a program that was written by Informix support to validate
tapes created by 7.xx version ontape. It was created to verify the
presence/absence of a specific problem on some ontape created tapse. It
probably will never be released to the public and does not work on
version 5.xx in any event. Onarchive already has a validate mode.
