Yep, it will!

Quite a few! The interface from TP Monitor to DB is rather a pain to get
working the first time - INFORMIX makes this worse by not logging anything
useful!
Possibilities are:
1. Security - is your Tuxedo admin user allowed to use INFORMIX? (i.e.
can the user use isql or dbaccess successfully)
2. Logging - have you used unbuffered logging? (see the XA/TP guide
for details - set it through tbmonitor)
3. TP Config - is your OPENINFO string correct?
4. GTRID size - make sure that your GTRID_CMP_SIZE paramter in your
config is correct (12 for Tuxedo I *think*) otherwise
you will "lose" transactions.

Yes, the online log - see your $INFORMIXDIR/etc/$TBCONFIG file to find out
where it is - but events such as this don't seem to be logged to it.
