Vacancy - IT Manager, Informix x-train to SAP

East Midlands manufacturing company has an immediate need to appoint an experienced technical manager to assume responsibility for IT at two sites. This is a hands-on role calling for a mature profile with a stable career history. Your background should include Informix development and AIX/Unix administration, ideally with some experience of major package implementation. All services are supported by 3rd party suppliers so Unix admin duties cenre around system sizing and adding users etc. SAP is being implemented as part of a global IT strategy at group level. The successful canidate will have immediate exposure to SAP. Main priority is Y2K issues on Informix - going through database tables and code to ensure 4 digit dates are present and that systems are compiant with year 2000. Informix will remain as the database, linked to SAP manufacturing and distribution modules. Salary in the region of 35,000 UKP + Car + Profit related bonus + Benefits. UK residents only please.
