RE: Informix and Omniback problems

Couple of things need to there:
How many OmniBack license do you have.
Is OmniBack seeing the different devices in the configuration files.
Informix only uses the "/dev/null" device in the onconfig, when using
onbar. Do not back up logical logs write them to /dev/null.
anything else means write them to a backup device.
There are some environment variables that need to be in the
onconfig or the environment of the running process.
If you need more info, write and I can look some of this stuff up.

Subject: Informix and Omniback problems
Hello all,
I am a Unix Systems Administrator trying to work with the Informix
integration (onbar) to HP Omniback.
I have successfully installed the integration and was able to complete a
backup of the Informix dbspaces. The problem I am having is when I try
to change the device that the backup is using. My library is a 2 drive
device. I am changing the archive device in onconfig and also within
the Omniback backup specification. As soon as the backup starts, I
receive an "XBSA error" and the backup fails. The XBSA error reports an
unknown system error occurred. If I change back to the original device
within Omniback and also change onconfig back to the original setting,
the backup functions correctly again. I did try to generate a
completely new backup specification with the second drive and again it
failed.
I have talked to HP and they are no help.
If you have seen this problem, I would appreciate any advice you could
provide.
Thanks,
