Greetings I am trying to research the performance of IBM 3575 (Magstar) devices (under ADSM for AIX) when executing backups and restores with onbar. Does anyone know where I can get some throughput figures ? I'm also interested in the performance of ontape, but I understand that this does not work directly with ADSM ans it needs a "raw" device to work with. Is this correct ? Many thanks indeed. ADSM is talked at via a software interface standard (xbsa) while ontape is issuing writes to a device. JMHO. Doug Agnew
