Does RedHat 6.2 support Raw Devices for IDS 2000?

Hi all, I got information from my local dealer of Informix Software about the new features of RedHat Linux 6.2 that allow configure IDS 2000 to use raw devices for the chunks. It's really posible? I've tried to install IDS 2000 on a RedHat 6.2 and used a link to the /dev/hda3 as the path for the primary chunk, but the initialization failed with an error message like this: "can't access the primary chunk". Thanks for your feedback. :)

What are the permissions on the device? Why aren't they 660, user informix, group informix? -- Yours, Jonathan Leffler (Jonathan.Leffler@Informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h> Guardian of DBD::Informix v1.00.PC1 -- http://www.perl.com/CPAN "I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it!"
