} I am doing a senior project using Informix-4GL 4.11 RDS in Unix.
} I have a question of how to make a database is accessible to everyone.
} I have se the grant as follows:
} GRANT CONNECT TO PUBLIC
} GRANT DBA TO myaccount, person_X
}
} And I try setting the following environment in someone else's account:
} setenv DBPATH /home/myaccount/senproj
}
} When I run 4gl in someone else's account after doing all the above,
} somehow the database is not found. All the forms and modules exist in
} the 4gl, though not accessible to that person--which is what I want.
} But, how come the database is *NOT* found??????
} Did I do something wrong, weird, or am I missing some technical step here????
}
} Please respond ASAP!
} I am in a tight schedule to get this project done.
} Thanks in advance!!!

Just a guess: Is your database name "senproj"? If so, then you need
setenv DBPATH /home/myaccountDon't include DB name in the DBPATH, just the directory containing the
DB. If your DB is in directory senproj under your home directory, then
I don't know what the problem is.

Alan
