Certain combos are notoriously slow while others are > superlatively fast when doing client/server over network links. Informix engine is 7.13.UC2 for Solaris 2.4. Server is 2 CPU Sparc 1000E, 60Mhz. Slowest links between my PC and Server is the ethernet drops on both ends. Riding the FDDI backbone in between. There's a *lot* of bandwidth there to use, I just need to figure out how to do it efficiently. I'm going to recheck this today, but I don't think 5.05 + IStar made any significant difference either. Hopefully, I'll also find out this week if PB5.0 helps any.... TIA - appreciate your help. Greg p.s. could you mention some of the combos you've seen that are exceptionally fast/slow...
