Urgent, Help! Loading data into Blobs, 2nd Instance hangs
Posted in 1994
OK, now I am aware how to load data from an ASCII flat file into the BlobSpace table. Matter of fact it works on our development box quite well. But now we are trying to initiate a second database instance on our Production system specifically for Training. The first instance was created for the Production database. Works great, no problems. The second instance was initialized to separate the Training environment from the Production environment (same box, different working environment and configuration parameters.). The problem is that when I try to load data into a table with byte and text columns which point to the BlobSpace. When I try to load data into the table, the Load statement and the DBLOAD utility both hang. The support center suggested moving from OnLine 5.02 UC2 to 5.02 UC6 but this has not solved the problem. I should also mention that the Logical Logs are currently directed to /dev/null (could this be the crux of the problem?). Has anyone else experienced this situation? Can anyone offer any help?
