I am trying to restore a level -0 backup from one server to another. Configurations in both m/cs are same except the fact that some dbspaces are differing in size. I am facing a problem when it restores one particular dbspace. In One m.c it is 500MB and in the other 200MB. ( though only 100MB is used). System hangs for a long time and exits with a message /dev/logdbs not having enough space to restore. Is it mandatory that I should have at least equal to or more space in dbspaces when I trying to restore from tape of one m/c to another? Thanks Sam
Yes each chunk must be AT LEAST as large on the target machine as it was on the source machine. Art S.
