Frame Recursion in Web DataBlade Module Administration Tool

Hi, I've recently installed IIF.2000 on a Mandrake Linux 7.0 box, with Apache 1.3.9-17mdk as my web server. I've got it working by dynamically loading and adding the explode.so (for apache 1.3.6) module, and correctly setting the admin "Location". When I use Netscape (4.70) to connect to http://127.0.0.1/database_name/admin (where database_name is the database that I have registered the Web DataBlade) I get the three frames of the Web DataBlade Module Administration Tool, but in each frame is another three frames, and in each of those another three frames, and so on, and so on. If I use another browser, e.g. KDE file manager it will bring my box to a halt, at least netscape seems to give up after about the eleventh recursion. From the logs, it seems to be calling for the page with ID = "Cm" all the time, where I would expect it to call for the other pages after displaying that page (Cm.html is the frameset page). Has anyone had this problem, and is there a solution, or should I just put it down to version problems and get the source for apache and compile it in? Hope someone can help me with this little problem. Ian Jones. ______________________________ mailto:Ian.Jones@imij.co.uk http://www.imij.co.uk tel:07050 114284
Which version of IIF2000 are you using? You can get then engine in
a recursion lock on 9.20.UC1, but I haven't seen it with the admin
tools.
What's in the log files, onstat -m, the webdriver and the apache logs?
BTW IIF2000 works well with Apache 1.3.11, and like you said just use
the
explode for the 1.3.6 release and compile it up. You must re-compile
Apache
for it to work with IIF2000, AFAIK you can't take a binary release and
just add the shared modules.

Thanks Paul, The DBLogs and stats look absolutey fine (basically all zeros as it's a totally clean DB), a trace of the web DataBlade (level 6) shows lots of "SELECT webexplode(object,?::html) FROM webcmpages WHERE ID='Cm';" one after the other, usually about 16 of them. I'll get the latest Apache source and compile it up with the Web DataBlade. I'll be back if there's still any problems! Oh, BTW, I'm using IDS 9.20.UC1, with CSDK 2.40.UC1 and WBLD 4.00.UC1 as per the current "developer" release being distributed in the UK by those nice people at LinuxIT for very little money! Thanks, Ian Jones. ______________________________ mailto:Ian.Jones@imij.co.uk http://www.imij.co.uk tel:07050 114284 Paul Watson <paulw@wfsoftware.com> wrote in message news:38FA1580.FCAABC59@wfsoftware.com... > Whoops make that 9.20.UC2 > > > -- > Paul Watson # > WF Software Ltd # You are only young once > Tel: +44 1436 674729 # but you can be immature > Fax: +44 1436 678693 # for ever > www.wfsoftware.com #
