Empty dbspaces.

When I clear a dbspaces, solely in use for tables from tables with "alter fragment ...." then I see with onstat -d that the dbspace isn't completely empty however looking in the sysfragments tables for the datbases I found the dbspace isn't in used. Also oncheck -pt shows me that the dbspace isn't in use anymore. The question is now why onstat -d doesn't show me that the dbspace is empty. I use Informix 7.23.UC6 on Sun Solaris.
