IDS 9.4 or IDS 10 Linux and VMware

I guess the subject line says it all. Has anyone tried deploying Informix on linux using VMware? One of our developers suggested using this config for our production environment. I have not has a chance to investigate this, so I am wondering if anyone has. Thanks -Peter

I'm using vmware on Windows to run linux VM's and had installed and tested a few Informix instances, even for such things as ER/HDR. I've never noticed any problem that otherwise wouldn't come up on a "real" linux machine. But, I'd never go with it for production.
