Where does the confugation information on which port an informix se database (linux) listens reside? mfg Roman
You specify the port information in $INFORMIXDIR/etc/sqlhosts by default. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Read the manual. It will walk you through an installation, configuration (which is minimal for SE) and startup. Art S. The service name (4th) column in sqlhosts references the name or an alias in services. It's marginally different if you're using NIS, but the principle is the same. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v0.60 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
