Can't connect to remote DB

I'm trying to connect a SCO (OpenServer 5) box running 7.31 to a Sun box running 7.31 on Solaris 7. The Sun box is new. I have a DB installed on the SUN box, but when I connect remotely I keep receiving a 908 error. Local connects are fine. I added the Sun box (emco5) to SCO's sqlhosts file: emco5 ontlitcp emco5 sqlturbo emco5 is also in /etc/hosts.equiv and /.rhosts on the SCO server. I have tried connecting using root and informix user id's. I did try a 'grant connect to all' on the Sun box. Any clues for this clueless informix rookie???? Thanks Gary Quiring
