If your pipe *is* sending garbage to >standard error, append "2> filename" to your report pipe to keep it from >disrupting screen behaviors. (Report to pipe/printer uses popen() ). In the pipe which calls the labels.4ge program, I put "2>errors" to try to catch the initialization string. What happened is that the file errors was created but was zero length. The output file had 23 blank lines placed where the init string used to be. BTW, this is the same effect as setting the init string to be null in the termcap entry. If this is the same bug you've been working on, could you let me know in which release it will be fixed? > >>Anybody have any ideas? >> >>Thanks in advance >> Jeff Cauhape cauhape@TWG.COM 415/962-7147 Room 226 (SneakerNet) >-- >Alan Denney aland@informix.com {pyramid|uunet}!infmx!aland > > "Lost in her lips, downtown New York with her lips, > I tried to lift my eyes with no success. > I got on with a transfer, and now I've missed my stop, > the bus driver is waving, pointing me out to a cop." > -- Trout Fishing in America, "Lost in Her Lips" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jeff Cauhape cauhape@TWG.COM 415/962-7147 Room 226 (SneakerNet) For every complex problem, there is a solution that is simple, neat, and wrong. -- H.
