Another Archive Questions

Thank you all for you quick response to my archive question. Just so you all dont get bored, I have another question in the same vain. I have multiple 486's running our application. I need to re-extent an entire database (by tbunload/tbloading). My window of oppurtunity for such maintenance is very small. We are considering (for the future) all sorts of options to fit the window. Assume machine 1 and machine 2 have exactly the same hardware setup. How is this for lunacy? Night #1 tbunload the production database (from machine #1) to tape tbload the database to machine #2 Night #2 Archive machine #2 restore the archive on machine #1 apply all the logs from the time of the first tbunload to the restoral The real question is: does the information in the logs simply point to a database/table, so the fact that I played this game not matter? Anyone know for honest-to-goodness-for-sure? I'm not even sure how much time I would buy myself, but I was just wondering. I believe this is much more feasible on our Pyramids, running virtual dat tapes.
