T.E., Yes, you can restore past what the ixbar lists if there are images listed in the systuils database. You'll need to query it to see what images have been backed-up. Also, using the onsmsync command, you can: 1. Make a new ixbar file from the sysutils database 2. Make a new sysutils database from the ixbar file Hope this helps. Good luck. Hello,
Thin ice:
if i recall correctly onbar does query-ing the storage manager
to see if there are more logs not listed in ixbar. (this is a rumour i heard
and have not tested!!!! )
if not then you have to reconstruct the ixbar file yourself before you
do the logical restore!!!!! you have to gointo the storeagemgr and
look for logical logs; grab the uniqueid and put it in ixbar together with
the rest of the stuff check the manuals for this.
When reconstructed:
you can check your handy work using
export BAR_LOGCHECK=1
onbar -P <logid which you hacked in> |more
if this displays the correct info then you should be ok.
lotta manual work; sorry.
hope it helps
